CEF Coolah

Country Education Foundation of Coolah was established to provide much needed financial assistance and support youth who have completed their schooling in the Coolah district. By providing educational grants, we aim to help them achieve their post-high school education, training and vocation aspirations. CEF Coolah recognise that the cost of rural students pursuing higher education is often much greater than those of their metropolitan counterparts, and that sometimes these costs can be prohibitive.

CEF Coolah fundraises throughout the year and accepts donations from residents and businesses in order to provide financial grants to local students to support their educational journey. These grants are sourced directly from sponsorship and fundraising – not government funding – assisting these students with costs associated in achieving university and trade qualifications, and working to help them achieve these educational aspirations.

A huge congratulations to Katrina Norwood (left) from the @shoalhaven_education_fund for winning the Katie Walker Outstanding Service Award.

This is a very special peer-nominated award that recognises a CEF volunteer that has demonstrated outstanding commitment to supporting local youth.

Katrina has been the Treasurer of SEF since its inception in 2012 and works tirelessly with fundraising activities, interviews, and using her expertise to help the team administer grants and funding.

Most importantly, Katrina continues to go above and beyond to assist students in need who describe her as 'kind and warm hearted and someone who loves helping others'.

Please join us in congratulating Katrina!
